1: Introduction

The package e-mm is just a wrapper around Ralf S. Engelschall's MM library. This package contains the MM version 1.1.3. We packaged this library because it is used in many of our programs; the package is thus made available together with our own sources.

The package e-mm is needed for e.g. the following e-tunity packages:

• e-trx: the TRX transaction server relies on e-mm shared object libraries;
• webserver: the packaged Apache webserver has built-in XML support;

2: Installation

The installation is very straight-forward: the archive e-mm.tar.gz is unpacked, which creates a subdirectory e-mm/ holding all the sources. A make install in that directory does the job. All headers and libraries are installed under /usr/e/.

Alternatively, you can obtain the ready-to-install RPM from http://public.e-tunity.com. User root can install this package using rpm -i rpm-file.
